Editorial Policy

Korean Feed publishes practical English-language guides for people navigating Korea — as visitors, residents, or somewhere in between. This page explains how we select topics, research and verify information, and keep articles current.

How We Choose Topics

Topics are selected based on genuine gaps in available English-language information about Korea. We prioritize subjects where existing coverage is outdated, inaccurate, or written without firsthand knowledge of how things actually work in Korea. We also use search data to identify questions that international visitors and residents are actively asking and not finding good answers to.

We don’t publish content simply because a topic is popular or easy to cover. If authoritative English information already exists and we can’t add meaningfully to it, we skip it.

How We Research

Our writers are based in Korea or have extensive firsthand experience living and working here. Research begins with primary sources: official Korean government websites, ministry announcements, and direct contact with services when necessary. For immigration and visa topics, we cross-reference the Korean Ministry of Foreign Affairs (mofa.go.kr), Korea Immigration Service (immigration.go.kr), and relevant embassy guidance.

For service and experience coverage — apps, local platforms, neighborhood guides — we draw on direct use of the services described, not secondhand summaries.

Accuracy and Fact-Checking

Every article is reviewed against official sources before publication. Where official information conflicts with widely circulated secondary sources, we default to the official source and note the discrepancy where relevant.

Korea’s immigration rules, entry requirements, and government systems change with some regularity. We update articles when official policy changes — not on a fixed schedule, but whenever we become aware of changes that affect the accuracy of published content. Each article carries a publication date; significant updates are noted within the article.

Our Use of AI Tools

Korean Feed uses AI tools as part of the writing and research process. All content is reviewed, edited, and verified by human writers with direct Korea experience before publication. We do not publish AI-generated content without substantive human review. Where AI tools are used for drafting, the final article reflects editorial judgment and fact-checking that the tools themselves cannot provide.

Affiliate and Commercial Relationships

When Korean Feed has a commercial relationship with a service we cover — affiliate programs, sponsored content, or advertising — we disclose it clearly within the relevant article. Services covered without such disclosure are included on editorial merit only. We do not accept payment for editorial coverage.
